keep in mind that the Bush administration has not made any recent comments about .xxx anymore
they were asked for it by the Christian groups last year and then they indeed heavily opposed .xxx until May 2006 when .xxx was killed as we thought
now 3 weeks ago .xxx has very suddenly re-appeared (ICANN said "they voted not to approve .xxx last year but didn't reject it yet) and although the Christian groups are vocal again, (although less vocal than before, they must be also tired from it
) the Bush administration didnt comment on it yet...so we have to wait and see if they will intervene again or not... lets hope they will
