I have never seen or heard of it actually happen here.
And what is funny, is how people think that it can't happen.

I worked for a mainstream auction company that got tired of people posting shit about them on boards..some of it was true..but some of it was patently false so the owner of the company hired investigators, found out who they were send them C&D's, threatened lawsuits..and then filed against the owner of the board who allowed it to go on.

The board was auctionwatch.com the owner of that board basically made it verboten to speak about this auction company positive or negative..he got tired of dealing with the bullshit.
