People don't (usually, because I'm sure someone will find an exception) get put on Death Row unless the crime was pre-meditated, calculated, and heinous. Nine times out of ten, if somebody gets sentenced to death, the crime they committed to end up there is far worse than the shot of poison they receive when they die. I don't always believe in the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" mentality but with the death penalty, I almost think we have become too lenient.
