If everyone else died except for me I might be able to find some eternal peace, but knowing me... I'd start getting on my own fucking nerves, so I don't think it's possible.

Of course not. Even if humans all got along, do you think that Predators (in the wild) would stop hunting their prey? It's a natural cycle.... we're just the only ones capable of vaporizing the entire planet ;)

Mayans with their Long Count calendar and the crossing point of the ecliptic with the band of the Milky Way signaling the end of time -- pretty cool people, those Mayans.
