as many of you know i have been working on the next cd release. many of you also know that i don't just release anything out there for people to put their ears on. well.
here is your chance to have some influence on a cd that will press 40k plus copies for distribution within our industry and retail outlets throughout the country.
if you know or remember what Timeless Classics VOL 1. (the one with aimee sweet on the cover) was about, that was the junior to the senior year of what the next release is going to be.
The RAGE ON! compilation is slotted to trump Timeless Classics VOL 1. and set crossover standards between music genres that normally are not associated with each other.
WHERE DO YOU COME IN?
it is duly my responsibilty to listen to and consider musical tastes of people from many, many walks of musical backgrounds and exposure. what i would like from you is to tell me honestly what you musically hot right now. what i am talkin about is on all levels. all scenes. pop, hip hop, rack, alt rock, mainstream, etc. i will take this input and pull different elements from different musical genres to make RAGE ON! the best it can be.
if no one knows yet, what i have become known for (and this is strictly for informational purposes), is taking different styles of music, vocals, and samples from different eras of music, smashing them all together, and making it into something that is still very 2005, and still very old and new at the same time.
so, give me your input. what would you like to see on the CD. what can you picture 5000 people jumping up and down to and having a great time under lights and loud speakers? don't hold back, don't think anything is stupid, just spit it out. let me deal with the rest.
