HAHAHA!!! The download sites are why I'm here today actually. Several years ago, there was a huge surge in movies being shot in Canada. It was cheaper and the studios were blaming it on 'pirated movies and illegal downloads' they were complaining that they needed to save money. So they went to Canada. The problem with that is, the Canadian Gov't looking out for their own peeps said that movie companies need to hire Canadian workers when filming in canada.
Long story short, work started to run out for us in FX and so a lot of people I knew ended up moving back to their hometowns, and switching jobs. One guy even killed himself. Madness.
But I can't complain, the squeeze on the movie industry brought me here. Where it's always been better pay and you guys keep me laughing so it's all good.
Even though I think Porn is ripped off more than mainstream ever will be, there is still tons of money to be made. Nice.
