The only funny shit i've seen from Dane is on the Dave Attell's Insomniac Tour DVD, and this other one bit he did about how when girls masturbate they look like a DJ, playing the Clits of the 80's, 90's and 2000... other than that, he's way overrated.www.memberchannels.com

I used to be the same way....then I watched the Vicious Circle special on HBO (I think it's still in HBO on demand) and I am now hooked. Seriously, if you don't think Dane Cook is funny after watching the Vicious Circle special, you are a VERY tough critic.Comment

Sometimes Dane has his moments of hilarity, but they are few and far between. He's not even really a comic in my eyes, just a long ass storyteller whose stories are sometimes humorous.
His best stuff is on the Insomniac Tour DVD. Other than that, I don't see what's sooo special about him. Very, very average comedian -- at best!Comment

I do not find him funny either. I saw him on a special with him and a few other comedians traveling around the country. I thought he was the least funniest out of all of them. I will have to look at some of the other shows he did, maybe they are better then what I saw. I think Carlos Mencia is funny and I do not think he steals jokes like someone said. That song he did on stupid people was funny as hell.Comment

there is a new guy named Dmitri Martin that is getting a lot of time on XM Radio thats extremely funny. if you like Mitch Hedberg, you will like him.
Dane Cook has a lot of good stand up stuff. Its kinda hit and miss i think. He is like Robin Williams in that he doesn't really prepare a lot of material and write jokes... he just starts with ideas and starts telling all these long winded stories and it can be dissapointing when they start sucking. I like a lot of his standup stuff... but I never really could watch the HBO stuff. Also, its a little more tame and not as raw as the normal standup.Comment
