I've been an expert witness regarding photo authenticity in court in my past. I am also a UFO believer in some instances where there has been no satisfiable evidence to the contrary. If I were to testify regarding this photo I would point to 3 factors that discredit it in my mind.
1) Exif data is missing
2) Blurred pixels immediately to the left are not consistent with level of pixel artifacts visible in the rest of the photo.
3) Resembles water drop on lens.
The eyewitness reports in this case have been persuasive, but I would not stand behind this particular photo as evidence.
