Too many to count
The most memorable one was when I was sitting cross legged in a vintage car (no safety glass) and we were going around traffic at the local skating rink. We hit a manhole cover that stopped the car. Cops said when you hit someone, you "bounce back" but we stopped at full speed. I hit the windshield, then the dashboard. Several facial injuries (and glass flecks surfacing in my face for over a year), broken foot and a few other things - this was 25+ years ago and memories fade ;) The guy I was with who owned the car was fine. I learned NOT to sit cross legged in a car.
I was visiting friends in a small town in GA and my Dad flew down from ATL, slept in a spare hospital room, drove my car back to MY college town, got a ride back from one of my dorm mate's boyfriend and I had to take a Greyhound a week later when I was discharged because I couldn't drive and there were no planes from one town to the other. Pure hell. Plus I scared the crap out of the kids in the skating rink when I walked in to the bathroom - they thought I had fallen skating
Had a handicapped placard for about 6 months - we'd cram 10 of us in my little Celica to go to classes in!
