Need your help... What SUV should I buy????

Hey guys.... I am planning to buy a new SUV but I can?t decide what to get.

I just moved to Dubai for a couple of years and as you might already know there is no tax here and all cars/ trucks/ SUVs are cheap as shit.
The reason I want to buy a big SUV is because the locals drive like fucking idiots and it?s much safer to be in a big ass SUV than in anything else.
They have all the European/ American/ Japanese brands here ... so hit me up with what you think is the best option.

For the record I was going for the 2007 Escalade because it looks cool and because gas is cheaper than water in Dubai but then I saw this and it got me thinking....

Anyway I will consider anything so fire away...

my sister just returned from Dubai, she liked it a lot. If Saab jeep is out I'm sure it's leading the security sector. X-5 should be pretty good too.

If you want an SUV for styling and not for what its intended for.. get an Escalade.. they aint worth a shit off road, but you look pretty while driving around.

If you want a SUV that performs.. get a GMC Yukon Denali...they are built to take a beating and still come out smelling like a rose.

I am not sure about the Saab ... I dont like the styling so much.

The X5 is an option though and so is the Range Rover that all the other guys suggested.

Thing is though that the Range Rover is about 70,000 US but the Escalade is 48,000, which is a big difference.

On the other hand a brand new Land Rover LR3 costs only 35,000 US and it has 7 seats and it can realy go offroad ....
Its not as good looking as the Range Rover or the Escalade though:

Dude ... the Escalade and the Yukon are built on exactly the same platform: Same chasis, same engines, same everything ... both are build by GM. The Off road the Yukon is exactly as good as the Escalade is. Which is not good at all.

But i know what you mean that they are built to take a beating. They are very well put together ... but not for off road.

Why is a Land Cruiser a Pain in the Butt. My family had 2 Land Cruisers in India for 10 years. You can imagine the roads there can you? Ok there are NO roads out of city. The Land Cruiser was a Dream come true. Only one downside: If it gets into bending motion from side to side, example you have to avoid a dumb camel, when going 60 m/h, it can be dangerous. By the way the same with a Land Rover means 150% Rollover and sudden death, and its unreliable.

Land Cruiser: Cheap to buy, to maintain, loads of chicks fit in or all your close friends, and it looks good in Black, but I dont advise black in Dubai though))
