    Gone on hillbilly heroin and codeine

    The docs rebroke my nose and took out my tonsils last Friday, and I've been fucked up on Oxycodone and Codeine ever since. Sitting here pale as fuck, can barely eat, doing paperwork and trading emails like mad trying to forget how fucking sick and paranoid I am right now lol.. the only good thing is that once I feel better I'll still have the drugs.

    Good thing I have the gf here taking care of me or I'd go fucking nuts!

    Anyone else dealt with this kind of shit before? Who wants my domains if I die?

              I CANNOT BELIEVE that people go thru similar pain for cosmetic reasons - nose jobs etc. That's just insane.

                      I didn't know it was broke the first time and it healed badly, was affecting my breathing and balance. They went in and did a bunch of stuff to fix me up.

                          Wagerboy can have the domains and I'll take the Oxy Seriously though, I had a rhinoplasty back in like '92 and it was the most miserable experience of my life. Oxy wasn't available yet so I forget what they gave me, but the first night I had gauze stuck way up in my sinuses and I couldn't breathe. It was horribly claustophobic. If you have one now the gauze dissolves the next day, but back then I had to go to the doctor and have them remove the gauze with a pair of forceps. It felt like they were pulling my fucking brain out through my nose. So I feel ya bro, just hang in there and all will be better soon (or just double up on the drugs and you won't remember).

                              I had to have my rhinoplasty done...I had a deviated septum and it fucked my breathing and sinuses.

                                  yeah they yanked em out of my nose after the surgery too, it felt weird as hell lol...

                                  I hate that claustrophobic feeling you get when you can't breathe thru your nose very well, I have anxiety anyways and this stuff doesn't help, although I'm breathing much better now than I was this weekend.

                                          It fucked me up really badly. They told me to sleep on the couch that night sitting up, and I was getting so claustrophobic that I wanted to rip them out myself. I'm surprised they yanked your's out, I thought they went to the dissolving. Did it hurt nearly as badly as mine?

                                              pulling them out didn't hurt, because I didn't know they were doing it until it was already done. I bet my eyes bugged halfway out of my head when they yanked them out lol! I had to sleep sitting up too, hated it.

                                              Pornpusher, there's NO WAY you could get thru this without pain meds. I mean, I guess you COULD, but it would be insane. Blinding pain.

                                                      I asked my doc before hand if it would hurt, and he replied "Honestly, yes, very much!" So going in I knew it was going to hurt and tensed up. After they pulled the first gauze out my nose bled like a faucet for several minutes, and I sat there with a mountain of red tissue. When I could finally breathe out of one nostril I was ecstatic, but then the doc was like "OK, let's yank the other one!" I agree though, you can't make it through sane without meds.

                                                                  ditto.....no idea why he did both at once....i had it done in the 80s and i STILL remember it as the worst 24-48 hours of my life.....

                                                                                              They are not addicting almost instantly. People say the same shit about Xanax and I take that. It you take the drugs exactly like the doctors told you to take them, then you should be fine. I do not know why people always have to try and say shit about drugs that just scare people.

I can NOT imagine the combination though...tonsils out at this age was bad enough. You just never know how many freakinnn times a day you swallow, all I wanted to do for 2-3 days was take pills, snack and go back to sleep...

                                                                                                              As mentioned earlier, be careful with those pain killers. I've heard way too many horror stories of people getting hooked on those without knowing it...

I have a xanax prescription and I take them off and on, never had a problem with getting hooked. I decided to see if the pain had gone down enough to deal with without the barbituates and haven't taken any since this morning and I feel just fine, AFTER being strung out on them for almost a week straight.

                                                                                                                              As long as you do what the doctor tells you, you should be ok. I think the fact that I don't really LIKE being fucked up helps with shrugging them off though.

I took Paxil a little over two years and I quit it cold turkey. I did not end up in the ER. Paxil is worse to quit then Xanax. People just say that shit to try and scare people from taking these drugs. Doctors get a good laugh when they hear people saying how this drug is addictive and that drug is addictive. You only get addicted if you take more then you should be taking. If you take what they tell you to, then you are fine.

                                                                                                                                                          Xanax can turn into a big problem if you try to use it like a sleeping pill every night. You keep upping the dose it takes to knock you out and you can reach a certain level where you have a biiiiig problem, but you have to be an idiot to abuse the drug like that and looking for a problem in the first place.

I did try Zoloft but it did nothing for me at all. It was like I was not even taking anything. All the SSRI's make me sick, so I was switched to Xanax. It works well for me so I am sticking with it. I take it only like I was told to, no more no less.
