          Obama had 2 years. They just do "consulting" during the ban. It changes nothing. i think both sides would support this but no one will really do it.

                      Trump isn't banning lobbyists, he is out right employing them. He is moving the lobbyists directly into the White House. He is not banning them, he is giving them jobs so they can continue to influence the government to promote their cause.

                                  trump is the kind of guy --- and you, me and everyone else here has known this kind of guy --- who will tell you it's raining while he takes a piss on you. I worked in an office with a guy like that, and only a small number of people (myself included) saw through his bullshit. Most people didn't.

                                  It's the trait of a narcissistic sociopath. They can only get by in life with lies and bullshit, because they have nothing else. Smart people can see through them but they rely on dipshits who don't analyze anything to keep them afloat.

                                      In fact the only reason Trump can now do it, is because Obama signed a executive action to allow him to do it. Obama already has a 2 year ban for his administration.

                                      The problem is, there is no way to stop them from being hired as consultants which ends up being the same thing as a lobbyist.. Meaning with both Obama's ban and Trump's it doesn't really change anything.

                                      What needs to happen, is elected officials dealing with lobbyists should be considered bribery. The only thing these so called bans stop is after they are out of office, but doesn't even stop that. While in office and able to create policy, they can be bribed by lobbyists.

                                      I guess though this means you now support Obama as it was his executive action that allowed this to happen and because of the fact Obama has already done the same thing..

                                      In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
