anyawys around the show dates...a flight with continental should be around 6k$ direct
about the same price when flying KLM

Man, ny - ams is like 6 or 7 hours and, i recently checked, about 500 to 600 dollars. If youre gonna pay 6k for a first class seat for a few hours i honestly think youre a fucking lunatic.

I think if you're going to sit in a cattle car seat for 7 hours you're a lunatic

However, when I was getting rates for going to Japan it was a lot less expensive to get a full row (3 seats) in coach than a first class ticket. You don't get the ammenities but at least you'd get some space.

I've sit multiply times on long flights 11 hour + in the eco class and didnt have any problems at all. I wouldn't fly first class you pay double or tripple of the price while you are getting to the same location and arrive on the same time. The food is good in the eco class, they take good care of you with drinking ect. You can watch videos/dvds and listen to music. What more do you need?

I usually take their first class, it's got the sleeper beds and personal entertainment centre. Food is great and a nice wine menu.

Montreal - Hong Kong about $6k CND
Montreal - Philippines about $5500 CND

AMS should be way less than that.

From AMS to JFK with KLM i paid about 4k business class.. 8 hour flight.. amazing its that expensive the other way around.

It saves you around 4000USD when you take economy with KLM. For those 8 hours...I would pick economy, and use the 4000USD to get myself a nice massage or more when I arrived at the hotel...But that is me

first class is such a waste of money. take some nyquil when you get onboard. then take the 6K you saved and get a nicer hotel room or spend it while you're there.

i bet you've never flown first class which is why you got no idea what you're talking about. flying coach for me, as a tall person, is barely an option. doesn't always have to be first class but business is what I'm always looking at. I did coach for my trip to miami (cuz I was hoping to be upgraded for free as a onepass elite member with continental - however everything was full), it was a pain.
