True, history often is written by the victors. Fortunately, there are other sources as well from which we might learn.
If your "peoples history" reference is to "The Twentieth Century: A People's History", written by Howard Zinn, I haven't read it yet. Nonetheless, I have much respect for many of his other writings which I have read.
My point in starting this post was not to blast the Mormon church, but rather to start a dialogue about the potential impact this movie might have.
Personally, I consider the Mormon Church to be a rather bizarre cult when I look at it's origins and history. However, I also recognize that Mormons have been unjustly persecuted in many instances as well (there are historical accounts of Mormons being murdered simply because they were Mormon - and the founder of the Latter Day Saints, Joseph Smith, was murdered by a lynch mob while he was in jail).
