    Newbreed - Where the hell are you?

    For some reason, for the second time since Internext, we seem to have lost touch with NewBreed and Arika Ames. I last talked with him about a week ago, very briefly on ICQ. Quite frankly, I'm worried about them.

    I have waited for quite a while to post this message in hopes that Newbreed would somehow pop up on the radar screen. I sincerely hope I am mistaken in my assumption that he's decided not to honor his financial obligations relating to the development of the 2257 MAVIS software.

    This seems to be particularly uncharacteristic of Bill, as throughout the development of 2257 MAVIS we were in pretty much constant contact.

    I've sent numerous ICQ and email messages, left messages on his home telephone answering machine, all without any response. We're getting quite concerned as he still owes a fairly sizeable amount of money to us for the development of 2257 MAVIS. (and my wife is giving me sizeable grief regarding his non-payment or failure to make any kind of payment arrangements)

    If anyone has a way to get in touch with him, please let him know to get in touch with me immediately.

    If I don't hear from him before Sunday, August 21, 2005 (which will make him more than 30 days past due on his account) then I will start legal proceedings to allow the 2257 MAVIS software to revert back to my company as our intellectual property.

    If there are any users of 2257 MAVIS that need technical support, hit me up on ICQ so I can assist you.

                                  Thats wierd are you sure there not on vacation or anything that doesnt sound like Bill not to answer or respond back and Arika is usually on all the time, Let em see if i can find them

                                      maybe there just taking some time together or working on some stuff for there site ... this is the 2nd time I've seen you post a thread like this ... seems a bit stalker to me .. if there is money owed then i can see you being concerned about him not being around but it seems to be a bit more then that .. just seems weird ... I think my partner has spoken to him in the last week ... i can try to get a owed over but Bill is a good guy and I'm sure he's just busy .. I wouldn't bug out so hard because he's unavailable for a week or two ...he may just have a life ...

                                          The last I had heard from him was that he and Arika had stayed a couple of extra days after Internext and I talked with him the night he got home (last Tuesday night) via ICQ. He didn't seem to indicate there was anything wrong and that he would talk with me the next day after they had gotten some rest from their trip.

                                          The next day, I hit him up on ICQ to see if he was awake yet and he had apparently gone for coffee and we missed each other. After that, his computer was apparently connected to ICQ but he never responded... and now, his computer is apparently offline, not connected to ICQ at all, although it was connected earlier today.

                                          I've left several messages on his answering machine at home and have sent him several email messages. All of which have gone unanswered.

                                          I hope you can reach him! Thanks!

                                                          No, not stalking him in the least... since the end of May we've been in pretty much constant contact and then POOF! It seems that once the Spider Import process for MAVIS was complete he just 'vanished'.

                                                          I know that he's well thought of here on the board and that many people hold him in high regard, just one of the reasons I have been concerned regarding his whereabouts. I consider him a good friend but at the same time, I do have to protect my interests as well. I've spent the past 60 odd days banging out the code for 2257 MAVIS with assurances from Bill that he's on the 'up and up'... but this situation is straining that trust.

                                                                          To be honest .. it was just my first thought .. i understand where your coming from and i know it's not like him to be unavailable ... but i just don't see him skipping out on a bill ..he has too much of a rep to just try to disappear on ya ..                                                                                       Ben, I am here and alive, and like Mike said earlier, I have some life things going on. Since I got back from the show I have been slammed with work trying to get some other things going and commitments I made long before and during the show complaeted, which are necessary to pay for whatever the balance of the bill is for the software. I get your ICQ messages but when I reply I get the "user cannot be moved" message. I have 3 e-mails from you or Rita, one of which I replied to on Sunday night/Monday morning to let you know what was going on. As I trench through the other 2 or 300 I have from the show and other places I will get to any others you have sent.

                                                                                      That said, when I get out of my 3-day rut and caught up on the things I have let slip that put me in the position I am in right now I will get this all taken care of. I am not going to list out here on GFY everything that has gone wrong in the last 3 or 4 days.

                                                                                      Anyway, sorry for the lack of communication, I will get with you tomorrow when I get up.

                                                                                      Oh, and as far as MAVIS, no users that I know of have waited more than a few minutes to get support in the last few days, I have been just as busy on this end with support as all the inquiries usually come to me anyway.

                                                                                      Thank you to those of you who sent me this thread, we have'nt been around GFY the last few days real hard.

We all should be attached to our computers 24/7 just some we dont miss one message. That one missed message might just dystroy your reputation.

                                                                                              Oh, and all my phones have either dead batteries (from being on them for too long at a time) or the ringers off (to attempt to get some sleep) as we have had a very sick family member out of state who has kept the phones pretty much tied up over the weekend making family arrangemenets, etc.
