lets clear up some myths.

1) green tea is suspected to have some effect on metabolism. its not claimed to work miracles and conclusive proof of anything is lacking... which is odd for something thats been around for many centuries.

what you are claiming is basically a miracle. you couldn't lose 10 pounds in 8 days by snorting a quarter oz of cocaine daily (if you were still eating the same before and during).

2) eating 5-6 small meals a day does not "speed up your metabolism" -

"metabolism" in the sense that its used in these discussions is just a word that describes breaking down food into energy and nutrients.

your metabolism speeds up in direct relation to how much you are eating. eating two large meals will generally cause your metabolism to spike and fall (you crash) in accordance to need and additionally, the total volume of food will usually not be metabolised resulting in fat storage (depending on the breakdown of what you are eating). eating smaller meals simply minimizes the risk of food not being able to be metabolized and "supports a faster metabolism" when accompanied by increased physical activity.

it doesn't turn your body into a "furnace" that just consumes anything and everything you eat, simply because you started grazing. you still have to eat right, you still have to keep your caloric intake in check.

3) you go further to claim that you ate a retarded amount of calories and even an obscene amount of calories from fat with no negative consequences.

i can't believe someone even needs to have that explained to them.

look at it this way... lets assume "green tea speeds up your metabolism" - well... so does ephedra and other thermogenics and metabolic stimulants. why can't you take ephedra and eat chili cheese burgers and nachos for breakfast and lose weight? because obviously the fat has to be burned for energy and no amount of stimulants or supplments will compensate for a super dose of calories from fat.

even the most powerfull, legal thermogenics make almost no difference for weight loss if you are not already eating well and training hard.

4) now you are saying "decaffeinated" which rules out its effects as a metabolic stimulant as a result of the caffeine... which pushs your claimes even further from the relm of believable.

you are saying "i burned up 35,000 calories in 8 days" - that means that at 210, you were eating probably 3000 calories or so per day (you don't exercise) which is 24,000 calories in 8 days and some how managed to burn a total of over 4000 per day (all the calories you ate, plus an additional 1350) ... which is basically starving yourself to death and put your body in a perpetual catabolic state, causing major muscle loss.

the only realistic way you could have lost that much bodyweight is through serious dehydration and lost water weight. you generally can't lose fat that fast without significant muscle loss.

there is just no way you lost any significant amount of body fat by drinking tea. and just no way you lost 10 pounds of body fat in 8 days by drinking tea. it completely defies the laws of physics.
