I used to have a Hahn's Macaw that looked alot like your bird. Was very sweet and playful, but would get upset and start squawking loudly whenever I left the office. That got real old after a few months and I ended up giving him to a friend who had built an avitorium in a spare room and had three other small parrots.

So now my bird has plenty of love & attention and 3 other birds to play with... and has a whole room to stay in, instead of having to be put back in his cage every evening.
