A degree in Anthro doesn't have to be a 'luxury' these days. With new laws that were recently passed in the US and Canada, developers are forced to hire Cultural Resource Management teams to survey the land they plan to develop before they start in order to be sure there are no important artifacts in the area.

What does that mean? Practical work for archaeologists/anthropologists! yay! It can be a rather lucrative business as well. Google "cultural resource management" and see how many firms have popped up just in the last couple of years since the laws were put in place.

Porn has actually afforded me the luxury of starting my degree....but, I'm thrilled to report that a degree in Anthro, today, can be just as practical as a CIS degree.
