Gas is 0.12 (yes, 12 CENTS) per gallon in Venezuela

1. They have to ship it here and that costs money.
2. State gas tax.
3. Federal gas tax.
4. In CA we have "special" cleaner gas and there are only 4 refineries producing it and I believe one went offline a month or so back.
5. Supply and demand. Price goes up we still buy. If we stopped buying prices would drop but we aren't about to stop buying gas.

well it appears from the article that the gas in venezuela is subsidized, so its not realy a fair comparison. They are getting that money from somewhere.

We could prob cut the cost of fuel here by subsidizing it and doubling the tax on beer.

most oil producers have gone independent that's why the government can't do anything. that's just bad.

Lol, $6.48/gallon in the Netherlands? At that price, I cant believe people still drive around in anything gas powered.
