I think if you had any idea what you were talking about, you'd know that Alaskan drilling will do NOTHING to effect gas prices.

Drilling in alaska will not help anything unless you happen to own a oil company.
BTW Diesel is already 3.13 a gallon and lowest grade unleaded was 2.89 a gallon today. Premium was 3.09 a gallon.

The problem's not more oil. The problem's capacity. While all the oil lcompanies are positng record profit quarters, they claim their refineries are running at full capacity. They do not build more because they claim, 'noone wants it in their backyard'.

Another problem effecting it is more 2nd and 3rd world countries are becoming industrialized (China for example) which then tugs at world resources.

As long as the oil companies have a excuse, they will charge as much as the citizens can tolerate. Oil companies are making record profits.......... There is no shortage of gas, have you ever gone to a gas station where they are out of gas???? They are allowed to hike prices because of the war............
