Honestly it depends on your persceptions.

I consider a 'gold digger' high priced, future thinking pussy. Not to be crast, but they normally seem to go for people with money, and as long as they get a lot of goodies, they will give up the sex. But also seems to be long term thinking, 'like I am going to marry rich'. Plus it's a long term investment I suppose. You have to keep paying to play.

A prostitute does it for money, but's a one hit wonder. No long term approach. Sure, they might have regulars, or whatever. But they are not looking to get married, or gifts, and so on.
