A hand written 100 word letter to each person he emailed.. That should only take a few years or so..

This guy is not getting jail time for "spamming", he's getting a harsh sentence for stealing customer data which contained credit cards etc...

putting him in jail is stupid. making him apologize to each and every person he spammed is much better, yet a bit impossible unless he still has his email lists. then he could sell them on ebay to pay his fines.

The best part about this whole mailing situation is people speak as if he is being punished in too harsh a way.

Is he??? It doesnt' really matter what you or I think. This is the punishment for this crime. He did what he wanted to do, now it's time to pay the price for it. If you knew it was a 5 year sentance for spitting on the sidewalk would you do it? and if you did would you then cry about it. Fuck it , he was dumb enough to break the law, lock him up and keep him there, be very public about it Rinse and Repeat. Fuck people who don't mail properly.

Well, take for example Jeremy Jaynes (The spammer that *supposedly* got 9 years)
Funny how AOL published he got nine years, but they didn't publish that his sentencing was deferred the guy is living in a country club on house arrest,he is allowed out daily to run errands and he appealed the case..
