Personally I think Exxon-mobil should be tried for war profiteering.

It is suplly and demand but it is based on the fact we are demanding more oil then is currently being pumped out of the ground. And unless we find new reserves it is not going ot get better. This current jump is more spec but long term we are in for ugly on the oil front.Comment

A little about XOM and higher profits. They have a revenue share agreement in many of the countries they pump the oil for. So if you get 5% of the profit and the profit just went up 200% it is not unlikely they got a nice bump. Nothing unamerican or criminal about it. The US supported them in making those agreements.
