on TCG and Clickcash... now ... nothing convert at all

No need to apologize about your English. I couldn't have written what you did in French! I agree that the real money is working from the inside. The problem for most of the jokers here is they're operating out of their mum's basements, still existing on pocket money, and will never possess the requisite brain cells to create anything themselves. Of course, if you're very good at promotion, you can be one of the lucky few to make even more than some program owners.

Good input though. Wish there were more business threads like this on here.

I hear you but consider that back in the day there were a shit load of rev share programs with $2.95 trials.

Members joined and quit before rebill at an incredible rate.
He could send 1200 joins to get (1200 x 1.50) = $1800 plus
300 converts time $12.00(50/50 revshare) = $3600 for a total
of $5400 minus fees and chargebacks also minus $12.50 per chargeback....
Yeah, back then the webmaster affiliate had to pay 50% of the $25 fee the bank charged in chargebacks in addition to losing the sale!

So he was only making $20,000 per month in that case. If we consider that signup prices were $19.99 instead of $29.99 it gets worse and he may have been making about $12,000 a month. If you consider that chargebacks were at an all time high and that's why Visa almost shut us down and American Express will not process adult, then he could have made even less with these fees being in the $1000s every month.

Also add in that bandwidth was $8 A FUCKING GIG!
Add that to hosting then subtract $2200 a month from his earnings.

Plus people bought content in those days(there were no hosted galleries)
So subtract $500 month for content.

See, stuff like cheep hosting, cheap bandwith, $35 per trial join, Free hosted galleries, free content, Free hosting, credit on exit consoles, etc...

Were invented because to make it easier for webmasters to make money because it was clear the some were not getting rich.

There are many reasons why people who bust ass and really do a great job don't get rich...the above scenario is just one of them.

The reality...it's not easy to get rich...it just looks that way from the outside in.

What you are missing from your list is "jaded consumers", "credit card fraud", "P2P sharing", "give it all away video sharing sites", "spyware / scumware / affilaite code stealers", "zango", and any number of other things that have lead to the porn consumer being very, very picky about what the signup for. As a result, what use to be a 1 in 400 business (and sometimes 1 in 100) is now really about a 1 in 2000 to 1 in 4000 (depending on who you talk to) business.

I looked at my personal traffic stats even this year to last... for month of march up 40%. Sales? flat. It took 40% more traffic to make the same money - and that is in a single year. The trend over 10 years isn't any better. The only saving grace is that I have great hosting that doesn't cost all that much, keeping the bottom line in check.

My personal prediction is within 2 years the affiiliate model in online porn will be all but dead, because conversions will continue to get worse, and the costs of bandwidth are no longer dropping fast enough to make up for it (and they don't have much further to drop before they are a rounding error cost).

Keep working on it.
