That is true.. there was forest fires. I don't want to bother, so i'm just going to say it and you'll just have to believe me.
How many forest fires today are started naturally? Why is it so easy now for forest fires to start? Why is it so hard to stop them?
1. no idea, a bunch i'm sure, but mostly human started.
2. Yada the world is heating up, everything is drying out, yada yada,
3. Winds. Global warming has a big effect on winds.. Winds will fucking screw any forest fire rescue attempt badly.. Example: B.C. (kelowna's burning), california, (not sure what happened, but we sent a lot of men to help), Australia, (not sure what happened, but we sent a lot of men to help).
You have a good point, but you can't honestly tell me that you can burn the amazon down naturally. Seriously. Also, add that to everything else? One car doesn't do ANYTHING. BILLIONS and BILLIONS of cars/factories/greed can do serious damage.
You're arguing that we shouldn't be so concerned over GLOOM and DOOM stories. But in retrospect, with your 40 years or whatever, can you honestly say that the gloom and doom has not helped and fixed problems?
The big thing growing up as a kid was "Ozone" "Green House Emissions" and "landfills".
We knocked two of those out of the park. We have brand new technology that not only incinerates garbage, but using that energy to create new energy, and materials. These plants are entirely self-sufficient, and have NO pollution. the ozone thing took a lot of awareness and some very costly and unwanted laws.
