First off the term idiot is going to be different depending on who you are.. and what the topic is..

A farmer in nepal might thing you an idiot for not knowing the sowing time for rice or the way to milk a yak . Im sure they would gut themselves laughing watching you do it, as their small children could do it with ease.

So its not so simple as to ask "whats 5 + 5" there are alot of other factors..

Speaking purely about education , america is near the top , not the best but certainly not on the idiot level.
