It's far more expensive to keep a man in jail than to execute him. Where did you see people saying otherwise?

The reason it is more expensive to execute someone is the cost of his right to appeal his conviction etc. I am sure no one would suggest removing his due process or changing our constitution to do away with convict's rights just to save a few bucks.

I for one do not agree with retribution, especially not capital punishment. The US keeps some pretty questionable company in executing prisioners. I can't think of another western country that does it.

It definately doesn't reduce crime rates and I find it scary if it makes vistims families feel that much better.
