The problem with the Trump wins is that there were so many people on the stage Trump only had a few minutes to speak. There was no in depth conversation so Trump could get away with some good one liners and some canned answers. Why didn't Trump debate Cruz one on one? Once Rubio was gone and there were only three candidates left Trump wanted no part of the debates.
With Hillary it will be one on one (unless Johnson makes a big leap and can get in on it) so Trump will have to expand on his typical answers or he will come off like he doesn't know what he doing. That said, I will admit Trump has come a long way in the last few months so he could do well.
I still think the debates will play a major role in this election. Trump still has a huge unfavorability rating and he will need to change some of those people's minds. The debates are where he can do that. He could also fall flat on his face.Comment

Just because they have the DNC emails doesn't mean they have the emails from Hillary's server. However, if the Russians do have some emails (be they from the DNC or Hillary's personal server) that are very damning to her and they choose to go public with them it will hurt her with independents. It seems like, at this point. About 90% of the people have made up their mind as to who they are going to vote for. The Democratic convention -- if we put political affiliations aside -- was easily a better event than the Republican convention. It was full of speakers and audience members more representative of the US and the message was optimistic. As opposed to the other side, which was full of old white people wanting to "take our country back". The overarching message portrayed the US as a dystopian hellscape and how we should shut everyone else out and basically become a terrified badger clawing at everything that comes near us.
If the Republicans had something good to say, I'd vote for their candidate. He has a good message, if you're an angry asshole with a depressing outlook on our country.Comment
