Is Windows Service Pack 2 Causing Me Not To Upload?

I bought a new Dell and ever since I can't upload my files with any ftp clients. I can do this fine on my Dell Laptop, and so the tech guys are saying the problem might be service pack 2.

Is there any way around this? Anything I can do or use?

    Any help is appreciated.

hmm this sounds really odd man, dont think its the SP2, check the firewall setting however.

ya, more than likely the sp2 firewall may be causing this. I had the same problem after I installed SP2 and it was the windows firewall so I turned the fucker off.

I turned the windows firewall off, I disabled Norton Internet Security.

I've done everything I can think of and still it won't let me upload. Its really pissing me off now, coz I'm having to upload from my laptop and shit, and I don't have my network plugged in yet so its a lot of hassle...

          Anything else I can try?

Norton isn't the problem. But I agree, I fucking hate it.

I'm using smart ftp to try and upload. Got anything to help me?

still sounds like a fire wall setting.
