Here is a short outline of the law:
Possession of marijuana by persons 21 years of age or older is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of $600 or possible drug treatment (no Incarceration!). Possession of marijuana by persons under 21 years of age of less than one ounce of marijuana is a felony, punishable by 1 - 4 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
