saw it in the theatre its LONG weird thing was it was a theatre close to the german border, lotsa germans there too, older ones... the movie ended and noone said anything
just walked out, the weirdest atmosphere...
Its not the typical warmovie, its more a movie made by germans to come clean and finally face history as the producer said. It's prolly not 100% authentical but it's a great movie to get to know Hitler and how he dealt with stuff.
I'd go and see it for sure.

I did watch it also last week. WOW powerful movie. As a history fan I have to tell you this really helped put pieces together. Everyone talks about the bunker but nothing was ever shown of it.Comment

well at the end of the movie they show an interview with Hitler's secretary that was in the bunker with Hilter and then escaped. She died just recently, in 2003. Bradm : theres also a whole making of the movie dvd, not sure if they released it in the US, but I saw it on tv, amazing how the cast tries to get as close to the characters of the original persons as possible.
Some weird things happened, ppl who couldnt cope anymore with the whole script n all...

I have it on DVD, love that movie. Basically shows how Hitler completely lost his mind, wanting to send out brigades that weren't even available or were outnumbered from the start....so many lives lost because of ONE person that's gone mad and couldn't give up...Made made think twice about the life I have. Living through a war is not something a person(especially if it's a kid) should experience.
I don't think we have have to argue that, it qualifies as fanaticism and zeal when you kill your own children without a reasonable cause...

I didnt even know of this being out , i cant wait to see , growing up in school i was always like fuck that old shit i dont want to learn on it they are dead and gone and fuck we cant change it , then in 99 i went to live in ukrian and i married a girl from there and she tought me so much on the past war , it was and is sad all that went down , if you ever want to go to a country that is full of women that are out of this world smart and things go there and if you love old histry and things go there in kiev they has a a palce there with all the old war stuff all os hitlers things and stuff . really gives you a cold feeling inside .
when i lived there i use to buy tons of old war things mainly german , all there claasp pins and thing the german hitler sign and all that , no not for that reason for what it was , and resold back then to all the old war guys that like to buy that shit .
any way thanks to post that here , i dont get to watch to much tv to know what is playing or out i work to fucking much . off to the underground dvd store lol to buy that movie

Wow... the bunker is just sitting there. That is so weird. They need to open that place up for tours and photos so people never forget. The more history we have the more we will know for the future, and how to not make the same mistakes.
I love WW2 history so if anyone has any other movie recommendations that are not so mainstream RARA america... let me know. There were 2 years before america came into the war, too. ;)Comment
