Serious Question for SERIOUS businessmen.... heckle if you want to so it stays bumped

This is a serious question for serious businesmen/women ....

Let's say you have a couple outstanding ideas that involve all of the following 'pre-pitch' to any serious companies. By the way the 'serious companies' are limited - Very limited in their respective fields.

    1) General Studies on Patents and other potential comptetition, etc
    2) Aquiring the proper technology
    3) Putting right staff in order for such a project
    4) Researching any potential competition more in depth and be prepared
    5) Settings guidelines for how to deal with your competition

Once you have this out of the way you move to the following stages.

    Project #1
    ----------
You would be dealing with major television stations and implementing a way for them to increase their bottom line without increasing expenditures in any way, shape, or form. If you don't have some one on staff who could sell the concept to them - You haven't completed step #3. If you do merry multi-millions for all ...

    Project #2
    ----------
Need to someone break through and establish a solid working relationship with the number one company in the industry (online) or 2-3 of the top 5 at worst to have a solid interest in the project and explain how they will benefit from becoming a part of the project (which they would heavily especially if it became the industry standard) by becoming a part of the 'project'. Suprisingly even though something very similar is in place, nothing quite as industry specific in this category has been setup or else it would save 10's of millions a year "EASILY" and increase the bottom line of every company in this industry... Allowing them to pass on profits or pocket them..

Both of the ideas are the type of ideas that make multi, multi, multi millions... for an incredible amount of people and benefit everyone. In neither of the two cases above would the companies you need to form alliances with have 'ANYTHING' what so ever to lose. It is a matter of making them feel at ease and giving them a reason to participate which even V.C. funding of the highest magnitude wouldn't accomplish.

You are in my shoes, what do you do with the ideas? First of all it doesn't/wouldn't matter if I had 100's of thousands laying around.. Being a millionare wouldn't help me in this situation. Knowing one right person in the right business..... willing to sign particular legal documents would be worth 100's of millions potentially though..

    How do YOU proceed?

Post as a hate if u want, but if there was one truly good post like this per day at this board it would be a much more enjoyable environment.. Lookin forward to all replies.. Sig spots, haters, and people who are serious...

Throw down or STFU. If you are that good you can make them DEPENDANT upon you, and it wouldn't matter what you choose because you WILL succeed.

Yeah Alias years ago when I was an arrogant cocky SOB - I would of said something along the lines.. You are put in the 'hater' category unless you have a real post that is business related not...

"Just do it or you are shit at business"

All things are not that simple in life when you would be dealing with multi BILLION dollar companies every turn you take bro - Sorry man, appreciate your candor.. But unless you have something worthwhile to say...

            Don't post till I need a bump ;)

I did not hate or say it was simplistic, surely a plethora of legwork would be required. Asking on a public forum, and with it narrowed down to 2 main choices you must be ready for what either entails.

I simply am saying do it, be steadfast and do not waiver. You seem more interested in board semantics than goal realization. Visualize what you are to be and move forth to realize your vision.

Do not tell me what to do or when to post.

Alias, you are too close minded ...

I am very far from new - I'm prehistoric mate.

And it is an at worst multi-billion dollar deal in both of the fields before mentioned. Think what you want, 99.9% of people will skim it and say 'This asshole is an actor' - I say ... "Let 'em"

You're the most noticable of them so far, why act like u hate when u KNOW u have been somewhere similar to where I am now even if not to the same degree. And if you think you have the connections to do the hook-ups I need a quick who's who of who you know in this industry would be a great starting point.

Why this industry? Because you represent here. This is your playground. If you can't back your game here - You sure as SHIT can't back your game where I need to go bud .. Play away but do it with references I can check out, and I know a way to check every reference you could throw me who is anyone in this biz...

Dude all that is the technical details of something irrelevant. You say I am closed minded but all I said was aimed at achieving your goals in the big picture.

Big business = corporate scum: be of use, be serving a purpose, or be disposed of.

First thing that threw me was mentioning of 'milti-million' which is FAR from what I am talking ...

The whole ideal is I become corporate scum.... Think how much Meg from E-Bay is worth ... These ideas have similar potential although I hate to even infer such expectations. Not that extreme.. but in those ranks man.. They are the newer spawns of the only way the business is going. Honestly, both ideas have easily 100K + graduates annualy who would be looked at as candidates for job positions if a succesful company was formed.

They aren't "We could add A,B,C, and D to get E instead of adding 3+4=7" type of candidates.. They would need to think beyond that level to help the companies that would be formed.

                            BTW, Alien I didn't catch this post earlier... for what it's worth;

"You seem more interested in board semantics than goal realization."

I definately do not give a DAMN about what anyone on this board thinks, trust me on that much. However someone who has some experience relating to the field I am discussing; I would like to hear what they have to say.

                            "legwork would be required"

Part of the 'reason' of my post.....

Re-Read my post, I didn't offer two choices.. Ever

"I simply am saying do it, be steadfast and do not waiver."

That's great and all............ But re-read my post. The whole point is what do I do... 'Be strong and don't devaite from my initial plan' is just a little rough to follow through on when I never had 'an initial plan'

BTW - You sounded like a motivational speaker bro'

                              Hmmm interesting post.

I have been involved in a lot of projects/investments/business deals in my short life. In my opinion money isn't the most important thing. I think the most important thing is forming a team of experienced people who don't think alike and who come from different backgrounds.

I think this is important because all of these different people bring different experience, thoughts, ideas and view points. If you have a group is full of a bunch of people who think alike you will have a lot of holes and things won't run as smoothly (in my opinion).

One of the most succesful business deals I have ever been involved in was made up of the most different people you could imagine. We did not agree on a lot of things in the begining and we all had different ideas. By the time we got the project finished we had filled almost every hole and had covered almost every base. To this day I still think we were so succesful because we were all so different, but had the same goal in mind.

But... one of the worst business deals I was ever involved was backed financially VERY well... we had a larger budget than we could have ever wanted and we all lost our asses. We all thought too much alike and just didn't bring enough different perspectives to the table

My advice; get a good team of people together to help weather it be 2 people or 100.

But... one of the worst business deals I was ever involved was backed financially VERY well... we had a larger budget than we could have ever wanted and we all lost our asses. We all thought too much alike and just didn't bring enough different perspectives to the table

My advice; get a good team of people together to help weather it be 2 people or 100.
Tha post, I give a true... undefiant

                                      No hesitation.. at ALL !

No offense Alien, what I came here looking for wasn't go back to the shit you did 10 years ago and repeat... which is essentially what you are saying; even though I know what you 'meant by it'.

The post I gave a thumbsup isn't 'exactly' what I "wanted" to see here... However, I guarantee I will NEVER get what I want - LOL !!!

                                          That didn't come across right......

It didn't cover the subject material I wanted it to cover to a "T" however it did hit some very solid points to carry further into the discussion

Basically it was turning the Topic in the right direction
