I just got married at 25. I don't think there's such optimum time for marriage. The longer you wait, the lesser you get the chance of settling down with someone.

There is no optimum time. You will just know. I dated a guy for 6 years and I don't think it would have ever been right. Tanker and I on the other hand started dating in October of 2003 got engaged in August of 2004 and Married 2 months ago in 2005, but when it is right you just know.

Don't let anyone push you into it, when the time is right you will feel it, but remember it needs to be not only the right time but also the right person or else it will never work ;)

marriage shouod be banned and replaced with co-habitation and child support agreements, much simpler and neither party gets screwed when the typical 50% failure hits the mark

much better to be living together under a contracted arangement than under a prayer

would you buy hardware or an inventment where the know failure rate is at least 50% with ongoing costs thereafter

thats the equivalent of buying a computer and when it all goes up in smoke still having to make 'service payments' even though you paid for it in full and then some

well, marriage isn't something you're obliged to undertake so i don't see your point of banning it. if you don't believe in such thing, why contradict it in any way.

                  to webcrawler

marriage is ok if the laws and the religous institutions woud support individuals

however in silly states where there is no fault diviorce, all one party has to do is move out and them demand up to 1/2 of everything , and then support etc etc etc

works great if your a celeb and money doesnt affect your lifestyle

or if your two professionals, both with jobs and no kids -- but then why get married in the first place

doesnt work at all where a guy gives the wife the priveledge to let her stay at home to raise quality kids, he struggles to be a good provider by working harder and longer (reducing his life expectancy and any saving they may have managed to accumulate) -- makes due with worn out chey's instead of a BMW, and then she has a mid-life crisis or fancy's the cock next door and just walks out the door - leaving you totally screwed for the rest of your life

speaking from experience after 7 years of 'dating ' and 24 years of marriage - no thank you never again - nor will i let my sons ever get screwed like this

remember its a 50% failure rate -- guarranteed

At the very least a full and long and detailed prenutual, since the odds are haha% you need it sooner or later

                  you have been warned

i don't believe there is an optimum time.. it really depends on the person.. it is a subjective decision. the bottom line of it all is get married when you are ready, and don't if you aren't!
