Totally agree! There is no reason whatsoever to accept any claims by government - especially when statements are made without also accompanying evidence. It is *very* rare evidence of any kind is ever produced - it's often more a media battle than one with fact.
It is far too easy to edit together any video/film footage then make a claim about it. Classic example was footage of what "appeared" to be a small boat being fired upon by a navy vessel and where the boat was eventually sunk - the claims made were that the boat was carrying arms to a country. The truth was the footage was of target practice - and the naval vessel did not even belong to the country making the claims. "Someone" just wanted to up the propaganda bullshit
