haha i used to live in calgary
houses are stupidly expensive now...way over inflated, calgary has so much land to develop but the city is restricting development to keep demand up. Not like vancover where high house prices are justified because we simply dont have anymore landComment

LOL calgary is mad expensive these days.
i am think Cancun, i would like to stay a month straight, i am sure they would offer me a deal, the question is who would you go through to get it? just a regular travel agent?Comment

I went to Cancun a couple weeks ago, great place. Once you get there I imagine you could just shop around and make deals at the resorts themselves. Spring break is comming up soon, would be awsome to be around for it.. but probably alot harder to get a room.Comment

ill look for the name tommorow but we rented a room at a resort for a month and a half at a flat rate and it was like 15% cheaperComment

They do it everywhere. It all matters on whether they think they'll be able to sell your room at full price. They'd much have a room rented for 25% off then they would have it sit empty. Hotels and resorts are the same thing when it comes to this. If you are staying more than a week somewhere and you're paying the published rate, then you suck at negotiating.Comment

Actually, I'm about to rent one annually. I am flying on the 12th (and will stay until the 17th) to check suitability, and then make the deal. Only annoyance is it has to ALL be paid up-front. It's going to be a hell of a check to write.Comment
