    So two of my friends started doing freelance web design. (Non Spam Thread)

    i was just on the phone with one of them. i feel almost like a proud parent ;)

    they're both very talented with flash and adobe, they make me laugh though.

    the site they are building now looks great, but apperently they told the client for 20 bucks a month they would try to keep her on some search engines so that she could get traffic to her site.

    i just got done giving them a crash tutorial in SEO. the little bit that i know, but i dunno if they're aware what they're getting into.

    i guess that is a newbie mistake though, trying to offer as much to your clients as possible.

    i'm glad they're doing it though. it makes me happy to see my friends starting out on their own.

    That's good. But offering SEO service without knowing SEO .. that's just plain crazy !

        haha that is basically what i told them.

        traffic is the clients problem. i am sure in time they will learn enough about SEO to be effective at it, but for now, i told them just to stick to the designs.
