I turned 17 that year. I (with much embarassment) can sing the lyrics to most of the songs you have in that list and in fact have the singles or full CDs to a good 90% of the list. Violator is actually in the car CD player right now.

It was also the year I met my wife who I am still with.

Two years older, in college by that point. And I listened to KROQ, not "Power 106" (So Cal people know exactly what this means) so I preferred so-called "new-wave" music to that "pop" that dominates most of your list.

Unfortunately both would go bye-bye shortly after as horrid grunge shit-rock took over, so it's a moot point...thank god those days are over.

Its going to be my first convention as well. I was struggling for a reason to go to Florida (other than getting loaded and partying like mad) and couldn't come up with a solid excuse in time. It would be funny as hell to have an early 90s party. Might scare off the young models though..."Ewwwww, look at all the old guys listening to classic music!"
