                        I don't know how true this is but they said on Fox News that for a plane to get certified to carry passengers once the doors are open and the emergency slides are inflated (which takes seconds) all passengers have to be able to get out of the plane within 90 seconds. If they can't the plane will not be certified to carry passengers.

                        This also the first crash in the 7 year history of the Airbus 340.

                                            Like how the eyewitness/passenger, a guy obviously in his 20s-30s, noted that even though he was at the back of the plane he was the second one off the plane, admitting he "ran like mad" to get off.

                                            When asked if he knew if everyone made it off alright he said he never looked back.

                                            So much for women and children first, and helping others....
