    it's not about being practical, it's about standing out from the norm. i wouldn't expect there to be anything painful about what she's done at all. no more so than getting 100 or so piercings, lol. the area which the piercings are put won't bend in any way that would stretch the strings and put too much pressure on the pierced points. i'm sure she let the piercings heal up first too.

                            If the chick is decent and not a nasty slob who looks like she smokes crack and uses heroin daily then body mods are just fine. Unfortunately, many chicks with body mods fall into this category.

                            At the very least, the positive about hardcore body mods is you know just by looking at them that they are really fucked in the head.
