Yes - this is the email that Rose Travel (the booking agent for AVN) sent out this morning - They are the exclusive booking agent for AVN and always buy out a huge block of rooms - Ive used them for the last 3 years. The only cheaper rates I know of is if you gambled the last few times you were out there and can get a comp on the rooms which I know some people do. These prices ($279) arent much different than previous years although the days just before the show are a little cheaper (and of course were cheaper in previous years before the video show started)Originally posted by chowdaComment

My feeling is that they are going to do the ultimate "save expenses" move and put the internext show IN with the video show, in an "industry only" area. The good news is that badges for the video show have been free for people in the industry, so I am hoping that we will go to a zero cost for the internext part of the show.
They will only require to add a bit more space as the last time both shows were at the venetian, there was empty space on the back and sides of both, and fairly huge aisles.
It does mean that we are going to have to deal with a major dose of droolers and lookie-loos.
This may also be the time that the internet show gets turned into a mostly "public" event, charging at the door to get in.
Anyone?
