Do you like our new Promo Video

We had this idea to put together a promotional video for surfers to get a feel for our site TeenDreams.com.

This is what we did. (24MB MWV)

Our New Promotional Video

What do you think about this kind of promotion? Worthwhile? Or a waste of bandwidth?

nice idea, not sure if it's been tried before, might be something worth throwing on the P2P networks anyway

maybe reduce the length of it, perhaps be a bit more upbeat and 'peppy' too, there's not much 'buzz' or excitement coming through imo though

good info in there for membership - but these are teen girls, teens are supposed to be fun, outgoing and upbeat

just my

We've no idea if it has been done before. We threw it on the tour last night, signups were good over night. yet their is no indication that this is because of the movie.

We tried to keep it up-beat, with the music, yet classy to give a feel that the site is not a fly by night load of crap either.

Thanks for the feedback, its been download several hundred times on the tour, yet we have no idea what people think. Of course, we love it round the office here

Currently it stands at 3.48 mins

Is it the size of the vid (24MB) that is too big. We did a 10MB version, with the same footage yet at lower quality encoding, but the rendered images were not so great, and we thought this was quite important to the whole sell
Or is it the actual length of the clip ?

The length is a bit long, and I'm sure the pacing is a little slow for some...

But the more I saw it, the more I thought it could work out well for you.

Nice touch with the clips that were shot just for the promo.

Here's a trailer I just edited for our paysite...

Now it's for a different audience altogether, and it wasn't meant to serve as an overall site preview, like your video does...

but in general I try to keep the promos to one-minute and keep the pacing faster.

I like your clip! Its pacy and makes you want to see more. Good stuff. I think its worth spending time on editing such as you have done, rather than just cutting fames together. It mak Maybe it is a bit long, I clearly have some work to do es it a whole lot more interesting.
