there is no "Black Hat SEO"
there is SE spamming.
- first of all, you have to be very good at it - know some programming, have complicated scripts, etc etc.
- then you have to work every day, because google bans your domains within a few days after getting your spam pages into the serps.
- then you need to constantly keep your edge.
it does pay off, but it's a pretty hard work and requires much skill.
personally, i like to stick to White sites.
once you get ranked in the top 10, you pretty much don;t have to do anything to stay up there, and the traffic just keeps coming in, while you devlop other sites.Last edited by DarkJedi; 12-29-2006, 03:18 AM.Comment

exactly! couple of months ago i decided to check out some blackhat forums because id think it would be easier then white hat. Conclusion is that blackhat is being used to get a top position very fast, but it goes away very fast too... so like you already mentioned much more work.Comment

Assuming you are talking about the forum run by Quadzilla I'm a member there. If $100 makes you tighten your sphincter then avoid it. For a fraction of the cost of a good night out you get to talk to some of the top SEOs in the industry (yes, despite the name there are plenty of guys on there doing grey/white stuff.)
Is it a scam? No. Is it a giant treasure chest that will make any old slob $1000 a day in no time? Nope. The forum is very slow but the threads aren't BS.Comment

No one in SEO, white or black, can get by not doing anything for very long. The algo's are constantly being tweaked. For a few sites, big sponsor sites for example, yes this is true - but due to 1000s of inbound links. For just about everyone else, you need to work hard ... all the time.Comment

There are not 3000+ members . . . that's how many registered users there are. There are actually about 230 active members.
The forum is certainly not for everyone and if the $100 is too rich for your blood, you're best off looking somewhere else. The post count is low because there is not much shooting the shit. We're all very busy and don't have time to waste on bullshit. It's all business. There's even a 50 character min to prevent worthless comments like "lol" or "nice one".
If you're not technically savy, you'll probably be in way over your head. We don't fuck around and there's not much hand holding. But for the right crowd, there's not a better spot on the Net . . .Comment
