The word is spam... as in "let me see if I can suck a bunch of newbies into clicking my various referal links so I can make money" spam.
The information is useful in passing... but as other people have mentioned, if you have the $100, why not just go pro instead of slogging it out on a freehost that can (and likely will) disappear at some point?
