    How To Tell The Difference Between Sock4/5 Proxies?

    For example a normal list just gives the ip:port . How can I easily and quickly tell with a program (want to have one made) which is sock4 and which are sock5.

                  almost all proxies used for mailing are either socks 4 or they are socks 4/5 running on the same port. Very rarely will you get proxies that are only socks5
