They are confusing the word deutsch. My entire cultural group back in the States (Pennsylvania Dutch) is plauged by that confusion. We know we are German based but the name (rightfully) confuses others.

It is confusing I agree, must admit I dont even know what the PA Dutch speak is it German or some slang?

Imho its one big mess, I mean we have Dutch Deutsch and Holland The Netherlands and a lot of other jibberish as well.

Last week USPS send all our new model lingerie to the Netherlands Antilles (Caribbean), they thought (I found out later) that it was a small island on top of the Netherlands

We got those but believe me the Caribbean is not on top of the Netherlands.

What a mess for a 250sq mile country

i hate it when peeps mix up holland with germany.. the language is so different, no offense but i can hardly watch german television.. especially german girls, they always have this annoying loud yell voice, terrible!
