Just visit wikipedia and read everything there on the topic, otherwise my first suggestion is to consult an attorney though you are not in the US so I do not know.

As a general rule, if you have a site with babes on it, is it enough to just link to the 2257 notice directly on the sponsors site?

I wouldnt listen to anyone on gfy with something like 2257. Get a lawyer. That's the first thing you should do before you enter this industry.

I know that it doesn't direcly apply to myself, as I am not from US.
But my host is (like i said).

Not even sure where to go in terms of talking to a lawyer. Would you need an lawyer that deals in internet specific stuff?

Well, currently the law states that if you re-publish/re-issue "sexually explicit content" then you are considered a "secondary producer" and need to keep detailed records of the models on your server or place of business (and need to have them available for inspection for at least 20 hours/week). A simple link will do no good. You need to have at least the address/contact information of where federal agents can contact you to get that information.
And, yes, you should consult with an attorney who is knowledgeable in this subject ASAP if you're worried.

Oh and since your host is within the United States you need to comply with our laws. Either comply or get another host. I'de choose the later IMHO.
