Could be idiopathic sudden sensoneurinal hearing loss (ISSHL), this load ringing (tinnitus) is typical, had one once. You should see a doctor soon, it's not really dramatic, but if you don't get any medication, it could happen this ringing stays forever.

Could just be blood pressure, not enough sleep, so no need to panic, but I'd let a doctor check, a friend of mine has a permanent tinnitus, you can get used to it, but always hearing a sound that doesn't exist sucks.

If it's ISSHL you have to swallow like two pills a day for a week and it's gone in most cases.
