Selling Rating Site - 30,000 Members

I've made a post last month about selling my rating site but accidentally post it on Fucking Around Discussion, I didn't have much luck with that so i'm gonna try and do it right the 2nd time around. Hope the Sell and Buy Forum will show better results.

I'm interested in offers on an established online teen community. http://www.youbeenx.com It's been around for about a year and a half and has a member base consisting of about 30,000 active members. Each account was verified through an email activation link so every email address within our database is legitimate. The site averages around new 60-80 signups a day creating continuous growth through word of mouth.

It's currently generating around $1500-$2000 gross from banner advertising per month from getting approximately 13-15 million banner impressions. Future plans for this site are to introduce premium membership offering our members additional site features for a fixed monthly fee.

true. i wouldnt sell if you had a site earning that much. i would seriously look into putting adultfriendfinder, sexsearch, or lovedollars on your site. trust me it will make you more bling.

plus with that amount of emails, you could send out newsletters, with jokes etc, netflix. and gain so much more revenue than what you are already getting. selling the site would be a mistake. i would keep it. and think of ideas of growing it. and using those emails and sending out a monthly newsletter.

just a couple things to think about.

maybe offer some incentives if they get their friends to join to get more members.

Not for those that are serious in the pursuing of a site and also have the funds necessary to be a purchasing contender. Not immediately listing a sale price or bin price keeps down the guaranteed onslaught of posters with their, "that site is not worth xxxx dollars" comments.

This is definately the sort of price he is looking for. I would say it will go for higher. But if his traffic figures and other stats pass scrutiny, then this is certainly not out of the acceptable ballpark.

The good thing about domains at this price is, on average, the buyers are fairly knowledgable. They know what they are getting into. And give everything the due diligence that profit potential analysis deserves.

The site looks like shit in Firefox
