Just because a couple has an open relationship or experiments with an open relationship doesn't mean 'it's over" in fact, for swingers, it's just the start of a great thing. Well, you said exactly what i mean. For HIS relationship it all ended when the question was posed. For many couples it IS indeed the beginning of a great adventure and can even help a relationship in the long run. Donny however made a big misstake. I don't think he was 100% behind the idea in the first place but still wanted the experience and that fired back at him. Maybe she lost respect for him because of that or vice versa...... either way Donny himself was the demanding party in this whole thing and he should indeed not give other people a hard time about it.
Donny, move on. You lost something, something that means alot to you. You now use your birthday to let this thing take you over........... don't do that. We all loose things in life and we all feel bad about it but we try to move on. If you don't even TRY to move in it will keep haunting you untill you realize that it's taken over your life. Life is short...... make the best out of it.
