This was taken at a carnival in funabashi. That thing seemed like it weighed a ton, and they kept swinging it from one side to another. We could hear them be in pain. I was told this ceremony was to show their strength, and bring some kind of good fortune

on that pic you can see about a thousand dancers walking down the street, doing their little dance. And then you see my friend, following them and doing the dance with them. We were 2 white guys out of 100,000 people, so this turned a LOT of heads. I also have a video of it, hilarious!
